run-time error 481

whenever i run ViStart i get the run-time error 481 'invalid picture'. i love vistart and have been using it for several months and this problem has just creeped up out of nowhere, haven't modified any of the files in quite a while. reinstalling did not help either, even after removing the vistart registry entries.

I have the same problem.I can use it for few months but the problem happened suddenly.
No matter what I tried(Retry,Reinstall,System restore,Scan Virus...)I can't run ViStart
Can anyone help us??

Hello, aabc271. I sent you a welcome message, thanks for joining Lee-Soft Forums.
Frankly, I honestly have no idea why this has happened, and I've been using ViStart for a long time now, this has never happened...
Try one of these things, even if it sounds stupid:
1) Check if your graphics are set to 32-bit. If they are, go to #2.
2) Check to see if your user image is saved somewhere, and it is not corrupt or anything. The user image can be changed through Control Panel - User Accounts - (Your User Account Settings / Your name  )... If you're sure your image is okay, go to #3.
3) Check if any programs aren't interfering with ViStart in any way. This includes all programs, not just styling programs. If you've done this, then I can't help.

Make sure you have the latest version of ViStart, though I believe you do.
By the way, it would be nice if you didn't bump a thread thats over 120 days / 2 months old, though I understand your wanting for a solution.
