Yeah, it is. The preview looks great, Rain. Also, about my Q_Q, I didn't really mean anything by it. Sorry if you misunderstood. Also, you still have GIMP 2.4? Interesting.

Yes, i still use GIMP 2.4. Didn't know there was an update until recently. Don't know when I will update though. Also it is the first time I made a preview, I think I could have made it better...

Could've, yes, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an excellent first preview.

Question.
What do I lose if I upgrade to GIMP 2.6, What do I gain.
What are the benefits of 2.6 over 2.4, is it faster? If I have templates, or I use the recently open often, will I lose that when I upgrade.
What new features are in 2.6.? Is everything still in the same place, tools, brushes, buttons, etc?
EDIT: Sorry for off-topicness.
But on the skin, it will be tomorrow for sure. As of this post/edit, it is February 28, 9:32pm. The time it will happen tomorrow will be random, so be on the look out!

Does VPC work on Vista? I thought that was only for Win7, I have all the versions of VPC on my laptop, I was going to delete it since I was running out of space. I do have a little pink netbook... I think I can install it on that. The PC I gave to my brother uses GIMP 2.4 also. And my old Vaio uses 2.0 (I think or was is 2.2) and it's battery is shot... My desktop doesn't have a monitor. The thing I dislike about GIMP, is that there is little OFFICIAL support for GIMP Windows. I have to rely on 3rd-party help, the installs for GIMP is also made by 3rd-party.

Benefits of updating GIMP: New options (new renders and such). Also, a useless new loading screen. Downsides of updating: The position of options may or may not be different, along with other things. Personally, I don't think you have to change. You're doing great either way. Use VPC 2007. Works for Vista. I'm not sure about the other VPCs because I'm not what you would call up-to-date.

Yes! It's a good thing I updated my BIOS, which gives my virtulization and other options. Well, that means the VPC I downloaded weren't a waste of time. Edit: I just read that VPC 2009 doesn't work on Vista...

I guess MS has to update there FAQ.
Cause this is what it says:
"Can I run Windows Virtual PC on a PC running Windows Vista or Windows XP?
No. Windows Virtual PC is an optional component of Windows 7 and is not available for Windows Vista or Windows XP-based PCs."

There's a way to get it to work I read an online tut. It basicly tricks the program to think it's 7.
