Yes, progress on Visplore has come to a halt, due to the possible difficulty in the application itself. It is something that would have taken years of progress to reach a stabel state, but due to Lee's (Author) busy real life situation, progress on it just couldn't be maintained.
I do recommend Komalo's Border Skins. It was similar to Visplore when it was first release, being in a way unstable, but Komalo has been workings on his codes and is (IMO) the best Aero Explorer simulator for Windows XP. Komalo updates his work on a frequent basis, so if bugs appear it has a possibility of being fixed.
