My Suggestion List
1.Combine Vistart, ViOrb, Vistart into a single executable.
2.Enhance Vistart's blur effect - the font doesn't display well on the latest test build.
3.Enable jumplists on ViGlance - you can take a look at SBar (http://sbar.codeplex.com/). Though it sucks, you may take something out of it.
4.Enable font customization - the Segoe UI font family is used in different names. In English, it's "Segoe UI"; in Traditional Chinese, it's "Microsoft JhengHei"; and in Simplified Chinese, it's "Microsoft Yahei". If you allow us to change the default font settings into localize ones, we can gain better user experience. I'm sure other users in non-English countries have these problems. You can get more information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_JhengHei
5.Make an option which allow us to disable the splash screen - it make my friends and relatives immediately know I'm using a "fake" Windows 7.
6.Enable right click feature on everything.
7.Enable blur, preview pane, favorite links, and Aero Snap, Aero Shake feature on Visplore, also customize other windows' border so we don't have to use TT and visplore at the same time - you can take a look at BorderSkin (http://komalo.deviantart.com/art/Border-Skin-Aero-Glass-On-XP-145674405).
I really appreciate Lee's works, and I hope he can keep on making it more improved and perfect.  Wink

Please forgive about my English. I am a person that use traditional Chinese. DO NOT mix me with those Chinese commies. I come from Taiwan, where most parts of your pc are made. I hope you can support the independence of Taiwan!!

Hi,

i am still a big fan of Windows XP!!!
But I very like the new Design of Windows 7 - Especially the hover effect of the desktop icons!
I know, that the forum member MixenDixon made the tool "ViCon", but it's very buggy...

I'm sure that Lee can make it better! Wink

My suggestion for the new project name is: ViDesk

A virtual desktop overlay. Very nice idea. Rather than just replacing the icon's properties, we create a virtual desktop environment.

I think the new project should be a mix of the following tools:
- IconX
- AveDesk
- ViCon
- Fences

IconX (by stardock) is not offered anymore. It is too bad!
The User InTime69 (on DeviantArt) made a great Config to transform the desktop icons (like the picture in my posting (http://lee-soft.com/forums/index.php?topic=1873.msg20661#msg20661)
-------------------------------------------------
Project with AveDesk:

AveDesk Download:

Project with IconX:

IconX Download:

More information about IconX:
IconX is a new program that allows users to customize the look and feel of their Windows desktop icons and labels. IconX enhances your existing desktop icons. So whatever you have on your desktop is automatically enhanced.  Users configure how they want their desktop icons to look by default, on mouse over, on selection, and on drag.  Shadows, different sizes, special effects, sounds, and much more. It can really jazz up a Windows desktop and for new users make the desktop a lot friendlier looking.

Especially the config of the states "Normal" (Mouse away, hover) and "Selected" (Mouse away, hover) is really good:

Fences Download:

What do you think about it?

on viglance I would love some Jumplists and get the choice to get the libraries icon on the super bar. It would be cool, also on vistart it would be brilliant if when you searched it did the same as the win7 start menu. Also like on notepad having an arrow like so you could see recent things you did with the program like on viglance. Thx!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Hey VG, you can do these:
1. Remove ViOrb , add ViOrb effect in ViStart as well as ViGlance
2. Develop Vista Hover effect for xp , name it ViDesk
3. Add Skinning option in ViSplore
4. Provide Windows 8 skins for ViStart as well as ViGlance

This isn't VG, this is Lee. VG doesn't own or create any of these products. He simply shares them.
