I have no understanding of the Xbox logo... At first I thought it was a messed up Zune logo...
Now that I keep looking at it, it reminds me of Nintendo's Upcoming Kirby Game, Kirby's Epic Yarn. Since in the lining looks like yarn...

Yep, that should be the slogan for the next years but for the logos: MS made them for the presentation where the new slogan was announced. They should show that MS can do new things. They're drawn without lifting the hand while drawing. One-line logos...
Personally I dislike them; the current ones are just amazing, specifically the one from Office and VS.

Changing the Windows logo to that is just bad, that is a blob, not even close to looking like a window. |

It looks like they where trying to go for a minimalistic approach. It also reminds me of fuzzy bending sticks (If that is the right word for it), something from like Primary/Elementary School...
I have notice that MS has been using a lot of kids/kid related stuff to promote their products...
