Robin,

Is there a difference from your ViStart 7 skin - Default, and the one I got when I downloaded from the original release on Sat?  They look the same.  ??

What theme does Lee use in that photo? It isn't like SevenVG RTM at all!

Not sure but it looks a lot like this: http://intime69.deviantart.com/art/Aero-Xtreme-7-XP-RC-131919628

what happened to the Community Builds thread for vistart?

is lee still posting is this week?

My thoughts exactly!  One second it's there, and I'm waiting patiently since he said this week, and it the end of the week, and the next second, boom, it's gone.   Huh

I just hope the new version of ViStart will fix the explorer.exe bug, its been bugging me since the first VTP.

That is the biggest problem I have had, and because of it, I cannot use ViStart, BUT according to the fix log:  Explorer keeps crashing randomly - CONFIRMED FIXED (17/09/2009), so YIPPIE!

lee, your new skin isn't quite right, the power off button should be different, in 7 it is one button that says 'Shut Down' and the arrow that gives you the other options

You are correct.  The Beta version of W7 had that style, but the RTM is one button, BUT either way it looks awesome!

Oh, and Lee, when are you releasing it?  It's like Christmas to me.  I keep seeing your updates, and now the "official" name change, and when I go to download, it still is Beta6.  :-(  I WANT IT NOW!!!!

PS. Sorry for the yelling.  :-)

Oh, and I'm not using Windows 7, just a WindowBlinds theme with ViGlance, and some other tools.  I want ViStart 7 since I hate having to click start and all my programs expand.  XP start sucks.  IMO.

I think that Lee should work on ViGlance more, ViStart isn't that buggy.

It is...
Waiting for VAB...
What's VAB ?  Undecided
Anyway ViStart is kind off more complete then ViGlance.

ViStart Appreciation Build

Is the VAB being released soon, or is it the same as the winter edition, and we have to wait months?  With all the confirmed bug fixes, it seems like it's ready to roll.  I can't wait much longer!   Grin

I know it's really not a bug (but it does bug me), but would it be possible to change the log off/shut down buttons to the new Windows 7 style?

I run three monitors, and never had this happen.  Are you using a different theme too?  Like WindowBlinds?  Somewhere there is a conflict, so if you can give more details of what you are using at the time it happens, it would help.

Hi,

I tried opening a blank excel sheet and then opening from within excel but cant seem to do it........tried both excel 2003 and 2007

I re-tried it, and all I would get was the generic thumbnail preview, and kept wondering why it worked before, but then I was able to narrow down why and what happened.  If you open blank sheets, and then open the spreadsheets you want to work with the "open file" command within each blank sheet, you need to have the spreadsheet maximized first, and then hover your mouse over the taskbar icon.  Then you will get to see all the spreadsheets you have open and be able to click on each one.  Otherwise if they are all minimized and you do the thumbnail preview you get the generic ones again.  I'm thinking it has something do with with how ViGance pulls it's previews since I tried it with other windows too.  If they are open onscreen (maximized or just on screen) you get the full preview, but if they are minimized to the taskbar only the generic preview shows.  Ok to sum it up.  Open everything on screen first, then do the thumbnail preview, and then you can minimize your windows and still have the previews.  Make sense?  I hope it works for you.

I was having this problem too, but after messing around with different ways to open spreadsheets, I found that if you open a blank spreadsheet, and then open the document from within it, you can open multiple spreadsheets, and be able to view and click on the one you want.
